The Firearm Index Management System (FIMS) made by SIL is a user-friendly program to rapidly and accurately perform all required record keeping functions as well as to manage the administration of firearms and their users. The FIMS by SIL is operational at the Central Firearm Index Office and has been structured in such a way that it can be accessed by other departments like the Central Armoury of Mauritius through an intranet network.
