About the Conference
The sixth edition of the eGov Conference on the theme ” Smart Governance with GovTech,” focusing on Enhancing Citizen Experience and Engagement. This theme marks a transformative shift in government operations, emphasizing targeted service delivery and improved accountability. GovTech is a whole-of-government approach to public sector modernization and promotes simple, efficient, and transparent government with the citizen at the center of reforms.
The conference will tackle Mauritius’ social and economic challenges, showcasing innovative GovTech solutions such as mobile and predictive analytics to enhance citizen services and aid in strategic planning across vital sectors including finance, education, agriculture, national security, and social services. Through GovTech, seamless interactions among citizens and public sector organizations create a unified platform, enhancing governance and citizen well-being, in alignment with the country’s commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Most of the presentations made were insightful. I learned a lot, especially about what's already been done/achieved in terms of digitalization in core organisation of the public sector but also about the vision/ objectives with other organisations in the public sector.
Nice arrangement, very well organised. Orators were being eloquent and they were from diverse backgrounds, Resourceful presenters as well.
