At SIL, inclusiveness and gender equality are at the core of our organisation culture, and we readily support initiatives that empower the next generation and foster diversity in the tech industry.
In this spirit, SIL participated in the “Girls in ICT” initiative of the MDPA by delegating Yavishta Bhunjun, a promising and dynamic young person in our team to represent SIL and share her insights and experience with a student audience at the Royal College Curepipe.
The theme, “Breaking Barriers, Building Future,” struck a powerful chord with Yavishta. “The energy and enthusiasm of these students give me hope for a future where everyone can achieve their dreams, regardless of the barriers they face,” she shared.
At SIL, we believe in continually supporting and encouraging all students, especially young women, in their pursuit of careers in ICT. By doing so, we aim to support our work culture that is inclusive, diverse, and full of opportunities for everyone.
