Job Purpose
The incumbent will drive collaborative efforts with internal divisions and external partners to foster an innovation culture, identify client challenges for the co-creation of innovative solutions, and collaborate on projects to introduce new and emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, ML, blockchain and data analytics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Innovation Strategy: To assist the CEO in the elaboration and implementation of an innovation strategy ensuring alignment with SIL’s business objectives and customer needs.
Research and Development: To work with the Customer Innovation Division, and Technology Innovation Division to identify challenges faced by clients and to identify opportunities for technology-driven innovative solutions. Coordinate research projects on new and emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, internet of things, machine learning, deep learning, data analytics, and blockchain.
Culture of Innovation: To work in collaboration with the Managers to develop a culture of innovation within SIL by raising awareness, recognising innovative achievements, and promoting collaboration across teams. To work in collaboration with the Management Team to establish processes and mechanisms for soliciting and evaluating research proposals from employees and organising recognition programs for outstanding innovation projects.
Innovation Lab: The Lead Technology Consultant will set up and drive the innovation lab.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Master ‘s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or any other related field.
- 7 years of proven experience in technology innovation, R&D project coordination
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics and their applications in various industries.
- Knowledge in Design Thinking Techniques will be an advantage.
