Payroll Assistant

Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing….

Job Purpose

To support the delivery of payroll outsourcing services by ensuring the accurate, timely, and confidential processing of client payrolls, while maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, organisational policies, and agreed service level standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process monthly payrolls for payroll outsourcing clients within agreed timelines.

  • Maintain employee payroll records and update payroll information accurately.

  • Process payroll inputs, including salaries, allowances, overtime, leave adjustments, deductions, loans, and statutory contributions.

  • Verify payroll data and perform payroll reconciliations prior to payroll finalisation.

  • Prepare payroll reports and statutory schedules for clients.

  • Liaise with clients to obtain payroll information and resolve payroll-related queries.

  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, policies, and client requirements.

  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and employee records.

  • Maintain payroll documentation and filing systems.

  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements within payroll operations.

  • Provide support during payroll audits and compliance reviews.

  • Carry out such other duties as may be assigned to support the effective delivery of payroll outsourcing services.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Higher School Certificate (HSC) with accounting as a principal subject

  • A Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Degree in a relevant field will be an advantage.

  • ACCA qualification (completed or in progress) will be an advantage.

  •  A minimum of one (1) year’s relevant experience in payroll processing, accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of payroll systems, statutory deductions, taxation, and employment legislation will be an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Required to travel abroad for overseas assignments;
