SIL E-Health is the health information solution designed for Hospitals, Clinics, private health practitioners and private health institutions. The system provides the functionality of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Health Information System (HIS). Our E-Health helps to capture, store, manage or transmit information related to the health of individuals or the activities of organisations that work within the health sector in Mauritius, Rodrigues and Africa, be it from small private offices, to large, national public health systems.

HIS

Features

Patient Registration

Provides an interface to manage patient records. User is able to enter all enter all the demographics details of the patients like (family, Domiciliary Unit, contacts, etc). Every patient gets a unique registration number which helps to avoid duplication of records. The search facility enables users to retrieve details of a patient based on various parameters such as the registration number, name, age, date of birth, and city.

Physician order

E-Health also allows requests for diagnostic tests and treatments electronically and allows receiving results from the medical staff and departments (pharmacy, laboratory, or radiology etc.). Physicians have the possibility to open and make an evaluation for a patient. Evaluation can be linked to an existing appointment or a new one.

Consultations

E-Health allows doctors to directly input their diagnostics and recommendations. Nurses, doctors and consultants are be able to enter progress notes of a patient, which will then be available for ready reference.

Medical Records

Facilitates complete online storage of patients’ Medical records. The complete history of a patient, along with diagnosis and prescription will be maintained on the E-Health system. The following features will be available:

  • Collated & formatted information on patients;
  • Search on patient records by patient name, patient ID, etc;
  • Complete clinical data repository, capturing basic patient demographic details, medical history, consultations, diagnosis, laboratory reports, medical images, medical treatment records, etc.
  • Built-in reports.
e-Prescription

Allows to generate an e-prescription which can be stored along with the patient’s consultation information for follow-up consultations or future reference. E-Health also provides the doctor an interface to prescribe medicine. At the pharmacy, a patient presents his/her ID-card and the pharmacist retrieves the patient’s information from the E-Health system and issues the medicine.

Security and Confidentiality

Secured user login ensures limited access to patient confidential data and medical history. Passwords are encrypted. Users automatically logged out after a period of idleness.

Patient and Clinical Management

Automates the routine tasks of wards and thus ensures better patient care. Tasks, such as transferring a patient from one ward to another, requesting laboratory tests, and requesting drugs prescribed by a doctor is done in the wards itself. E-Health also caters for electronic prescribing of pharmaceuticals from the wards or doctor’s consulting rooms.

Ward Management

E-Health helps to maintain patient discharge information, track patient ward information, maintain wards rooms status, to categorise ward room and to assign patient to ward room.

Pharmacy Management

E-Health caters for the full stock control at the pharmacy, all stock transactions, dispensing, multiple pharmacy location designation and point of sale facility. Printing and reading of bar-code labels are also supported. E-Health will involve management of the information related to inventory in the hospital medical store, including medical equipment, drugs and medicines and other movable assets.

Bed Management

E-Health helps to manage both outpatient and inpatient information. E-Health has the ability to provide online access to accommodation usage by room, the ability to print bed utilization per ward, consultant and specialty as well as it has the ability to report bed days by Ward, Consultant, Specialty and Diagnosis. E-Health also helps to analyze ward or room occupants by sex, service, age etc.

Capture, Store and Retrieve

Medical reports and lab test results are saved electronically and are attached to the patient’s profile.

Appointments

Helps in maintaining patient’s visit. After consultation by a doctor, the registry can schedule an appointment for the patient. E-Health effectively schedules and manages the time slot and provides a doctor with a detailed work schedule.

Multi-Role Function

A user can be assigned to one or more roles, or, one role can be assigned to multiple users.

Reporting

The integrated Business Intelligence tool helps to have interactive dashboards, highly formatted reports, self-service ad hoc analysis, data integration, and server administration – all delivered on one common, modern Web architecture.
