SIL gets renewed Gold status from Microsoft for Datacenter Competency

Based on successful client projects and on its large pool of certified employees each year, SIL has renewed its Gold Datacenter competency from Microsoft – the highest partnership level with the global software company.

The Microsoft Gold Datacenter competency showcases SIL’s expertise in today’s current technical trends. This demonstrates SIL’s capability in Microsoft’s latest technology and its commitment to meet customers’ evolving needs in today’s dynamic business environment. SIL hence still differentiates itself by being within the top 1 percent of Microsoft’s partner ecosystem.

To earn a Microsoft gold competency, partners must successfully complete exams (resulting in Microsoft Certified Professionals status) to prove their level of technology expertise, and then designate these certified professionals uniquely to one Microsoft competency – ensuring a certain level of staffing capacity. They must also submit customer references that demonstrate successful projects, implement a yearly customer satisfaction study, meet a revenue commitment, and pass technology and sales assessments.

The Datacenter competency is a merger of the Server Platform and of the Management and Virtualization Competencies. SIL will be able to deliver comprehensive architecture solutions on a robust, streamlined, and scalable Microsoft infrastructure platform that can run in the customer’s datacenter, as a partner-hosted service, in the cloud, or in a hybrid environment. This new competency shows SIL’s strong capabilities with Windows Server deployment and management – including Hyper-V virtualization – as well as Systems Center infrastructure management capabilities.

Gold Competency in data center provides SIL with a competitive advantage and helps the company to offer its customers the most relevant Microsoft solutions in the market. Achieving such results means SIL is demonstrating greater value towards its customers by showcasing best-in-class capabilities.

Microsoft competencies differentiate a partner’s specific technology capabilities, helping customers find qualified solution providers with expertise in discrete areas quickly and easily. The Microsoft Partner Network helps partners strengthen their capabilities to showcase leadership in the marketplace on the latest technology, to better serve customers and, with 640,000 Microsoft partners in their ecosystem, to easily connect with one of the most active, diverse networks in the world.
