SIL, an Oracle Education Delivery Partner, has conducted Oracle Solaris 11 System Administration Training in February and March 2016 for one of its clients in Madagascar. The training is based on the Oracle official curriculum.

Oracle Solaris 11 is a fully virtualised operating system which can provide fast and secure deployment of services in a large-scale cloud environment. Participants of this training have learned about the new features and functionalities of Oracle Solaris 11 and how these new features and improvements can make it easier to deploy services to the enterprise.

The training objectives of Oracle Solaris 11 System Administration Training are to understand the key features of Oracle Solaris 11, its Automated Installation and its Image Packaging System, as well as to learn about the enhancements in Oracle Solaris 11 virtualization technologies and the new features and capabilities of ZFS.

Through a combination of instruction and hands-on exercises, participants developed their Solaris 11 expertise with a view to improve their organisation’s system administration and data management capabilities.

The training was delivered by an Oracle-Certified instructor from SIL, who has hands on experience in developing and delivering Oracle-based training.
